What’s For Dinner, Mom?
A drama about a single mother in Japan who is passionate about food and expresses her love for her daughters and friends through the Taiwanese food that she cooks for them.
In this Japanese drama, two sisters return to their old family home which is set to be torn down. There, Tae Hitoto discovers a box containing recipes and letters written by her mother, who was a passionate cook and died 20 years ago. Her mother moved to Taiwan, married a Taiwanese man, and learned how to cook Taiwanese food. After her husband’s death, she endured a battle with cancer. Tae Hitoto decides to travel to Taiwan to trace her mother’s past and reminisce about the Taiwanese food that she made.
